"account": "Merrol Hyde claimed its fourth TSSAA girls soccer state championship in the last six seasons, defeating Westview 3-0 for the Class A title at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga on October 30. Emmeline Edwards was the star of the match, scoring two goals and earning the MVP title, while Gabby Cruz added another goal. The Lady Hawks dominated the second half, scoring all three of their goals in a 17-minute stretch. Edwards scored the first goal in the 61st minute, followed by Cruz three minutes later, giving Merrol Hyde a 2-0 lead. Edwards then scored again in the 78th minute to seal the victory. This is the program's first state championship in two years, as they sought redemption after Westview's 2-0 win in last year's state championship game. It marks the Lady Hawks' seventh consecutive appearance in the state title game. Division II's state championships took place on October 29, with BGA winning the DII-A title and Harpeth Hall claiming the DII-AA crown. Merrol Hyde's back-to-back crowns in 2021 and 2022, along with runner-up finishes in 2018, 2020, 2023, and 2025, highlight their consistent success. The Lady Hawks outshot Westview by a significant margin of 36-2, with Westview conceding only one goal throughout the entire state tournament.",
