"account": "Outside the Novaya Gazeta offices in Moscow, readers have started gathering in protest of the independent newspaper’s announcement of closure. The newspaper revealed it would cease operations today, having faced eviction from its Potapovsky Lane headquarters for 29 years of journalistic work. One reader stood outside for five hours holding a copy of Eduard Uspensky’s book \"Novye poryadki v Prostokvashino\" (\"New Rules in Prostokvashino\"), mentioning Uspensky’s frequent appearance in Novaya Gazeta. Flowers were placed at the memorial plaque for Anna Politkovskaya, a Novaya Gazeta journalist murdered in 2006. A foreign television crew, Sotavision, also arrived at the newspaper’s offices to cover the event.",
