"account": "Olanike Olasunkanmi, a pastor from Oyo State, recounted his experience with ritual practices in pursuit of wealth in an interview with BBC Yoruba. He said his involvement in rituals began about five years ago, driven by his desire for worldly pleasures and material gains. Olasunkanmi explained that a ritualist instructed him to find a young woman he loved, have sexual relations with her, and wipe her private parts with a white handkerchief, which he then had to deliver to the ritualist. This incident occurred thirty years ago, and it was during this period that he experienced a car accident on May 26, 2001, which ultimately led to the amputation of his leg. According to Olasunkanmi, the ritualist imposed restrictions on how he could use the wealth he obtained through these practices. He claimed that although he became wealthy through these activities, he did not understand the source of this money. Additionally, he stated that he was instructed not to buy a car or house using the wealth acquired from these rituals. The car involved in the accident was indirectly his, as he had financed its purchase for someone else. Reflecting on his experience, Olasunkanmi warned young Nigerians against seeking instant wealth, urging them to be patient in their pursuits.",
