"account": "ActionSA's Ekurhuleni mayoral candidate, Xolani Khumalo, has pledged to eliminate drug activity from the city's streets. In his final election campaign rally in Johannesburg's Hillbrow, Khumalo outlined five key pledges for his potential mayoral term. These include overhauling the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department, restoring service delivery, combating corruption and cadre deployment, and enhancing safety across communities.\n\nKhumalo expressed his motivation for entering politics, stating, \"I didn’t come to politics to make friends. I came to fight criminals. I have walked into drug dens in the City of Ekurhuleni. I have confronted drug dealers while law enforcement turned a blind eye. I know the appearance of a broken city or a broken Ekurhuleni.\"\n\nKhumalo's commitment to serve all residents of Ekurhuleni is underscored by his signature of a delivery contract. The contract affirms his dedication to creating safer communities and improving service delivery throughout the City.",
