"account": "Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding universe is expanding beyond video games with the debut of an original anime series titled Death Stranding Isolations. The announcement came in 2025, introducing a new narrative and distinct characters from earlier titles. The first trailer, unveiled on October 30, showcased one of the two primary protagonists, a blonde-haired girl plagued by visions of Beached Things (BTs) - the spirits of deceased individuals trapped between worlds. The anime's subtitle, \"My mom became a crater,\" alludes to the devastating voidouts - catastrophic explosions caused when a BT consumes a human. Produced by E&H Production, an animation studio helmed by MAPPA veteran Sunghoo Park, Death Stranding Isolations will be directed by newcomer Takyuki Sano, who helmed Attack on Titan: The Last Attack and Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Screenwriter Tow Ubukata, renowned for Psycho-Pass 2 and 3, crafted the screenplay. While Death Stranding Isolations will not be Kojima's final offering, Michael Sarnoski is penning a prequel movie for A24, and an animated feature known as Death Stranding Mosquito, directed by Hiroshi Miyamoto, is also in the works. The first trailer was released in September, and Death Stranding Isolations is slated for release on Disney Plus in 2027.",
