"summary": "Hanwha Systems has secured a contract to develop synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites for Korea's microsatellite constellation project, aimed at bolstering national security and disaster response capabilities. The defense solutions division of Hanwha Group was chosen for the project by the state-run Agency for Defense Development, as reported by The Korea Times. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the defense ministry, the Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA), and the Korea Coast Guard, with the goal of enhancing surveillance of security threats and natural disasters on the Korean Peninsula and surrounding waters. SAR satellites possess the unique ability to capture images of land and sea under any weather conditions or time of day, enabling more frequent monitoring and rapid intelligence gathering.",
