"account": "New York Mets claim infielder/outfielder Kyren Paris off waivers from Los Angeles Angels, DFAing outfielder Cristian Pache.\n\nParis, who turned 25 in November, played just eight games with the Angels in 2026 after appearing in 44 games the previous year, hitting a modest six home runs in 126 at-bats. His career WAR of 0.8 came in 2025 as a reserve player, showcasing 20 runs scored, four doubles, one triple, seven steals, and 126 at-bats.\n\nWith the Mets' 40-man roster in mind, New York designated Pache for assignment. The 27-year-old, who previously played in 15 games for the Mets in 2025, joined the team on a minor league deal last offseason. Pachen's one-year, $850,000 contract aimed to secure his place among the Mets' roster.\n\nPache, who was called up by the Mets in early August, went 1-for-8 at the plate during his brief MLB stint. Despite fighting for the fourth outfield spot during spring training, Pache's inconsistency at the plate prevented him from maintaining a roster spot.",
