"account": "Alex Ovechkin, the 41-year-old NHL legend, has announced his retirement after a stellar 17-season career. The Nashville Predators, recognizing the significance of this milestone, have bestowed upon Ovechkin a custom Gibson guitar. The guitar, featuring an inscription on the pick guard that reads \"Alex Ovechkin No. 8,\" alongside team logos for both the Predators and Capitals, serves as a fitting tribute to the player's incredible journey in the league. The unveiling of this unique gift was shared by the Nashville Predators on their official social media platform on October 29, 2026. The caption accompanying the image expressed congratulations to Ovechkin, highlighting his remarkable career. Ovechkin's professional debut came in the 2005-06 season, marking a year after his selection as the No. 1 draft pick in the 2004 NHL Draft. Initially delayed by the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Ovechkin's arrival in the league proved to be well worth the wait. In his early years, he showcased his talent by scoring 52 goals as a 20-year-old, earning him the prestigious Calder Trophy as the rookie of the year. Throughout the subsequent decade, Ovechkin not only maintained his impressive goal-scoring prowess, netting more than 50 goals seven times, but also claimed the Rocket Richard Trophy six times, acknowledging him as the league's top goal scorer. By the time he turned 30, Ovechkin had already become a 500-goal scorer, solidifying his status as a hockey icon. Steven Stamkos, a fellow NHL player, expressed his admiration for Ovechkin's prime years, acknowledging his dominance both physically and skill-wise. The Predators' gesture, therefore, stands as a heartfelt acknowledgment of a player who has left an indelible mark on the sport.",
