"account": "Four years after DC Studios began, co-chief James Gunn revealed the casting of DCU Batman is not far away. During an interview on \"The Suicide Squad: Is It Canon? The Official Podcast,\" Gunn said casting hasn't been finalized yet, despite speculation. \"It won't be too long before we're casting Batman,\" Gunn affirmed. \"If I gave somebody a day role in 'The Suicide Squad' that is going to be the best Batman, I'm not going to rule him out from that.\" Gunn emphasized the importance of selecting the best actor for Batman, similar to how Superman roles are chosen. He mentioned that Batman will be close in age to Superman, stating \"Batman and Superman are around the same age. I don't think they're drastically different ages. They're future best pals, contemporaries.\" This revelation came after the \"Creature Commandos\" penultimate episode, \"Priyatel Skelet,\" offered a brief glimpse into the DCU Batman's appearance. DCU Batman's movie, \"The Brave and the Bold,\" will be directed by Andy Muschietti, who is known for directing \"The Flash.\" The film, based on Grant Morrison's Batman run, will feature the DCU Batman and Bat-family, distinct from Robert Pattinson's Batman in Matt Reeves' films.",
