"summary": "The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama, has advocated for the creation of a dedicated digital portal to improve access to national statistical data. This portal is intended to provide data in accessible, machine-readable formats, enabling researchers, academics, policymakers, and other users to utilize advanced analytical tools like AI and machine learning to uncover trends and relationships. Asiama emphasized that this would enhance evidence-based decision-making and deepen understanding of the country's socio-economic conditions. The Ghana Statistical Service's (GSS) maiden edition of the Ghana in Numbers 2025 report, which provides authoritative information for policy formulation, business decisions, and public understanding, was launched, with Asiama praising the initiative. He highlighted the Bank of Ghana's commitment to strengthening its analytical capacity through a Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Department and the development of guidelines to regulate AI usage in the financial sector. Asiama also noted that inflation has remained within single digits for 13 consecutive months, exchange rates are stable, and the banking sector's resilience has improved, with lending conditions becoming more favorable.",
