"account": "Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy has authorized a state inquiry into allegations that Democrats recruited nontraditional candidates in the state's US Senate race. The New York Times reported that Mary Peltola's campaign worked with Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee lawyers to recruit two candidates who could divert votes from incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan. The allegations have complicated the fight for Senate control, as Democrats need to gain four seats to flip the chamber. President Donald Trump expressed skepticism about Peltola's eligibility to run, while House Speaker Mike Johnson denounced the tactics as \"crazy.\" Peltola's campaign denied involvement, and a political science professor argued that any wrongdoing by the challenger is unlikely. The Justice Department was reportedly considering a lawsuit to block certification of Peltola's victory, but the proposed investigation may further cloud the outcome.",
