"account": "The US Central Command chief, Admiral Brad Cooper, informed President Donald Trump about potential military options against Iran, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine, and other cabinet members participated in the meeting. The discussion occurred a day after Cooper and other military leaders had met with Vice President Kamala Harris, one of the sources said. Harris reportedly attempted to rekindle peace talks with Iran, but Trump denied these claims, stating that Harris had only discussed medical equipment shortages with the Iranian officials.\n\nThe US had previously warned Gulf Arab nations to prepare for a brief, intense military campaign following the US midterm elections. Recent reports suggest that the US may be preparing for another attack, having sent additional Patriot systems to Israel and relocating troops from bases more susceptible to escalation. Further air defenses, munitions, and supplies have also been dispatched to the region, as reported by the WSJ. Iran has publicly and privately threatened to retaliate against various US and Gulf state targets in response to any aggression from the US.",
