"account": "James Gunn has finally confirmed the official canon status of The Suicide Squad within the new DC Universe. Fans have been asking for years about which elements of the 2021 film are considered canon in the current DC Universe. Gunn, now co-head of DC Studios, will address this question and more in an exclusive podcast event. The Suicide Squad came out before the DC cinematic universe had been established, leading to confusion over its canon status. Since then, various characters from the film have appeared in other DC projects, such as Peacemaker and Weasel. Gunn will host the podcast alongside Jennifer Holland and Steve Agee, discussing these developments, along with insights from the set and answers to fan questions.",
