"account": "Proton has made its extensive privacy suite available for just $1 for the first month during Black Friday. This discount brings the price of Proton Unlimited, which normally costs $12.99 for 30 days, down to an incredibly affordable $1. The Unlimited plan includes Proton VPN, a top-tier VPN service, along with a range of privacy tools such as Drive, Docs, Calendar, and Mail. All of these services are encrypted, providing a robust alternative to Google's cloud-based offerings.\n\nAfter signing up, it's important to remember to turn off auto-renew on your Proton Unlimited account, as otherwise, you'll be charged $12.99 each month for the subscription to continue. Proton Unlimited's Black Friday deal includes one month of access to its VPN, private email, 500 GB of online storage, a password manager, and ad-free access to encrypted office apps like Docs and Sheets. These apps are designed to keep your data secure.\n\nSince this is a 1-month plan, you can cancel at any time, making it a risk-free way to try out Proton's suite of privacy tools. If you enjoy using the platform, there are two cost-effective options for long-term access. You can renew after your initial $1 month on Proton's 12-month plan, which drops to $6.49 per month for the entire year. Alternatively, you can choose a monthly payment plan at $12.99 per month.\n\nFor those looking for privacy software providers, there are other Black Friday VPN deals available. NordVPN and Surfshark are offering competitive prices. NordVPN is $13.50 cheaper over two years on its Complete and Prime Plans, while Surfshark is selling its top-value One plan for $67.23 over two years. While these providers do not offer the same breadth of private and encrypted software alternatives to Google as Proton, they may still be worth considering. Check out Proton's reviews of Mail, Drive, and VPN for more information.",
