"account": "Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni revealed that Malaysian citizens have been arrested in drug-related cases across 40 countries, indicating a heightened focus on such offenses due to intensified enforcement measures. Malaysia is collaborating with other nations to clarify the situation and address the increasing sophistication of cross-border drug smuggling methods. Deputy Minister Lukanisman emphasized that these evolving smuggling techniques are making it more challenging to combat drug trafficking and necessitate enhanced cooperation between enforcement agencies and countries. He also highlighted that Malaysia will utilize the ASEAN platform to foster discussions on cross-border drug crime and considers future multilateral conferences to tackle these issues. The Foreign Ministry, through Wisma Putra, plays a crucial role in providing consular assistance to Malaysians detained abroad, guiding them through the necessary procedures and informing their families. Furthermore, Malaysia is refining cooperation with Thailand and Indonesia on transferring offenders to resolve legal matters involving prisoners through diplomatic channels, as discussed during recent engagements with the ambassadors of the concerned countries.",
