"account": "Adam \"Smitty\" Smith spent nearly a year away from the public eye, focusing on personal growth, therapy and overcoming the fallout from his departure from Barstool Sports. After more than 15 years at Barstool, he craved a return to the community that nurtured his love for sports media, which he found at Philadelphia's 97.5 The Fanatic.\n\nWhen an opening arose, Smith applied, quickly realizing it was a perfect fit. With a background at Barstool and a new understanding of social media consulting, he became a weekly contributor to the morning show. Smith's time at Barstool also inspired a potential future venture beyond radio, aiming to build digital strategies.\n\nDespite his initial hopes for a full-time morning role, Smith ended up as a valuable contributor. His journey back to sports media was not without its challenges, including a mental health struggle that led to a period of recovery. Smith remains grateful for the time he needed to heal and return to the job he loves.",
