"account": "The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer, Onoja Samuel, a Deputy Superintendent of Corps (DSC), has been apprehended by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command in Abuja. The arrest came after a distress call reported a man, armed with a pistol, engaging in sporadic shooting at Kubwa Market. The incident occurred around 1:50 p.m. on October 28, 2026. The FCT Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, disclosed this information to journalists at the command headquarters. According to Sanusi, police operatives from the Kubwa Division were swiftly deployed to the scene and arrested the suspect. Samuel, who went to the market following reports that some traders assaulted his wife, was found to have fired several shots into the air. The police recovered a CZ pistol and 17 rounds of live 9mm ammunition from the suspect during his arrest. Sanusi emphasized the need for restraint among personnel of other security agencies and urged them to notify the relevant police divisions when conducting authorized operations within the FCT to prevent potential clashes and ensure the safety of residents. The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged to court following the conclusion of investigations.",
