"account": "James Gunn has confirmed that Batman and Wonder Woman are the \"diamond characters\" within DC Studios' 8-10 year roadmap for the DC Universe. In a thread response to a deleted post, Gunn clarified his earlier statement about standalone and interconnected stories, reiterating his focus on Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman as the foundational characters for the DCU. He emphasized that each piece of the larger story should be able to stand on its own, similar to how the Guardians of the Galaxy films operate. While Gunn mentioned smaller characters like Krypto the Superdog, John Stewart, and Peacemaker that could also become \"diamond characters,\" Batman and Wonder Woman remain the top priorities. Despite the lack of recent appearances in DC-related media, the confirmation of these two characters as \"diamond characters\" remains a strong indicator of their importance in the upcoming DC Universe.",
