"account": "Manchester City advanced in the English League Cup by defeating Brighton 4-3 in a penalty shootout. The match ended in a 2-2 draw after regulation time. Backup goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli saved Brighton's final two spot kicks, delivered by Yasin Ayari and Lewis Dunk, securing City's spot in the quarterfinals. This victory comes after City avoided the same fate as Arsenal, who was eliminated by Fleetwood Town in a shootout. Other Premier League teams also advanced, with Bournemouth defeating Aston Villa, Crystal Palace winning against Fulham, and Sunderland overcoming Brentford. Liverpool was set to face Chelsea in the late kickoff. Third-tier Bradford City joined Fleetwood in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. The draw for the last eight will be made later Wednesday, with Everton facing Newcastle on Thursday to complete the last 16 matches.",
