"account": "Apple has unveiled two new models of MacBook Pro featuring an OLED touchscreen display. This is Apple's first use of OLED technology in one of its laptops. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models come with a touchscreen display and a price increase of $400 compared to the standard models. The 14-inch model starts at $2,899 and the 16-inch model starts at $4,499. The new models also have a lighter weight, with the 14-inch weighing in at 3 pounds and the 16-inch at 4 pounds, compared to their non-touchscreen counterparts which weigh 3.4 pounds and 4.7 pounds respectively. Apple claims that the new OLED display has a wider color gamut, true blacks, and enhanced bass and Dolby Atmos support. However, some of OLED's advantages like a wider color gamut and true blacks are less pronounced than previously seen. The new display has a higher peak brightness of 2000 nits and covers the Adobe RGB color space and a portion of Rec. 2020. Despite the added features, the battery life remains unchanged. The touchscreen feature is a mixed bag, with the hardware being a small aspect of the implementation. The operating system interfaces, like those of iOS and iPadOS, are not optimized for touch interfaces and may feel grafted onto the laptop. Touch can also add difficulty in navigation, and there are limited meaningful uses for touch.",
