"account": "The Federal Government has approved N45.08bn for a national biosecurity and response system at five international airports, including Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, and the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, as part of a 20-year public-private partnership with Biohealth Consortium. Health Minister Prof. Ali Pate defended the decision to pay N100,000 per week to quarantined contacts following the recent Ebola case to ensure compliance with isolation directives. The system will deploy advanced pathogen detection infrastructure, real-time surveillance, and portable laboratory facilities at airports to detect and contain infectious diseases at Nigeria's borders, addressing concerns over cross-border disease threats and enhancing public and economic security.",
