"account": "Cyclone Arnab, the first named storm of the North Indian Ocean cyclone season this year, rapidly intensified before making landfall as a 'very severe cyclonic storm' on October 28. Forecasts missed the storm's strength and speed, causing many district officials to struggle with a narrower evacuation window. With wind speeds of 125-135 kilometres per hour, it dropped over 100 mm of rain in parts of Andhra Pradesh, but Odisha may face a greater threat. No fatalities were reported in either state initially, attributed to effective disaster management; however, transport suspensions, school and office closures, and power blackouts caused significant disruptions. Odisha may still face further rainfall and flooding due to the storm's outer moisture. Farmers in Ganjam and Puri fear prolonged inundation could destroy crops, exacerbating the financial impact of the southwest monsoon. The IMD has warned affected districts, urging a zero-disruption approach to prevent poverty caused by lost property and livelihoods.",
