"account": "Apple has revealed that the illuminated rear logo of the MacBook Pro will make a comeback with its latest model, the company announced today. The illuminated logo was absent from the MacBook Pro after it underwent a redesign in 2016, which saw it replaced with a polished, non-illuminated version. The return of the illuminated logo brings back one of the most recognizable design features of the laptop after a span of ten years. Apple expressed excitement over the new MacBook Pro, urging users to experience it firsthand. The source for this announcement can be found at https://t.co/BLiGkGaefL, as shared by John Ternus on October 28, 2026.\n\nThe original illuminated logo functioned by utilizing light from the display's backlight. However, the new MacBook Pro is equipped with a PROLED XDR Display. Unlike traditional LCD displays that rely on a separate backlight, OLED displays illuminate individual pixels directly. Consequently, the new MacBook Pro requires a different method to light up the logo. The 14-inch model of the new MacBook Pro starts at $2,899, while the 16-inch model is priced at $3,399.",
