"account": "Apple has unveiled a groundbreaking MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR display, marking its first-ever touchscreen laptop. The revelation came after several hints, starting with Apple's \"Pro and tell\" experience teaser on October 19. The new MacBook Pro, unveiled by CEO John Ternus, features a light-up Apple logo, tandem OLED, and touch input on its display. Powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, it succeeds the existing MacBook Pro models without such displays. New CEO John Ternus showcased the machine's initial look on X, with pre-orders opening today and deliveries starting on November 6. The laptop is available in silver or space black, with either standard or nano-texture display configurations. The 14-inch variant begins at $2899, while the 16-inch starts at $3399. Apple's pricing includes 128GB of unified memory and up to 16TB of solid-state drive storage. Peak display brightness elevates from 1600 nits to 2000 nits for HDR content. The MacBook Pro's 14-inch model weighs half a pound less at 3 pounds, and the 16-inch is 4 pounds lighter than its predecessor. The new design is both thinner and lighter than the standard MacBook Pro models of the same size. Apple claims the PROLED XDR display replaces Mini-LED as the MacBook Pro display technology, signaling a significant shift in Mac design. The first touchscreen Mac display introduces intuitive touch capabilities, enabling users to interact with content in innovative ways, from manipulating 3D models to playing musical instruments on screen. The Dynamic Island replaces the notch, serving as the home for Spotlight, Live Activities, and Siri AI.",
