"account": "In a recent game between the New Jersey Devils and the Dallas Stars, Devils' center Jack Hughes sustained a painful injury when struck by the stick of Stars' forward Justin Hryckowian in the first period. The impact caused Hughes to lose several teeth, which he spat out mid-play. After the incident, the referee was seen picking up a loose tooth from the ice. Undeterred by his injuries, Hughes returned to the game wearing a protective face shield and ultimately scored the final goal of the night, contributing to the Devils' 5-1 victory over the Stars.\n\nThis incident is not the first time Hughes has faced dental difficulties. Prior to his Olympic gold-winning performance in the 2026 Winter Olympics, he had also lost teeth after taking a stick to the mouth. Hughes' determination shone through when he scored the overtime winner against Canada in the men's hockey final, securing a 2-1 victory.",
