"account": "Vietnam has joined the Artemis Accords, a framework for peaceful space exploration set by the United States and seven partners in 2020, during the Vietnam International Digital Week (VIDW) 2026 in Quang Ninh. Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan received the accords from US Ambassador to Vietnam Jennifer Wicks. Vietnam sees space science and technology as a strategic sector for national growth, aiming to enhance self-reliance in space technology and data, while promoting applications in resource management, environmental protection, climate change response, and disaster prevention. The country also seeks to develop a space economy ecosystem and improve governance capacity for space activities under international law. VIDW 2026, focused on AI governance and smart connectivity, brought together about 500 delegates, featuring a ministerial roundtable on smart connectivity, AI governance, and AI transformation.",
