"account": "Brigadier General Pavlo Palisa, deputy chief of staff to Ukraine's president, has declined an offer to serve as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The Ukrainian leader discussed potential candidates for the position, including Yulia Svyrydenko and Dmytro Kuleba, because of their American education and language skills, as well as Palisa's familiarity with military affairs. However, Palisa expressed a strong preference to remain in Ukraine, stating that he would prefer to return to his brigade rather than leave the country. The ambassadorial position in Washington has been vacant since August 3, when President Zelenskyy dismissed Olha Stefanishyna from her post due to suspected involvement in a property acquisition scandal.",
