"account": "Discord users are being warned that their messages from certain public servers could potentially appear on Google search results starting mid-December 2026. This change, confirmed by Discord in a blog post, will bring messages from eligible servers to the forefront of search engine results for the first time. However, a silver lining exists for concerned users and server administrators, as Discord is offering privacy controls to opt out of this feature before its implementation. These controls, currently accessible via desktop or web platforms, aim to provide users with the ability to prevent their conversations from being indexed by search engines. The update will apply to eligible public servers, excluding private servers and direct messages. While the move could make useful information more readily discoverable, it has sparked concerns among some users about their privacy.",
