"account": "The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) will investigate a fatal boat collision that occurred early yesterday morning off the coast of Perlis, resulting in the death of one of its intelligence officers. Roshaimi Ridzuan, the deceased officer, was killed when his patrol boat collided with a concrete structure during a chase involving a boat suspected of carrying undocumented migrants. Three other MMEA officers sustained injuries in the incident, which took place near Kuala Sungai Padang, close to Kuala Perlis. MMEA deputy director-general (operations) Zawawi Abdullah stated that the agency's investigation would assess whether its standard operating procedures (SOPs) required improvement to prevent similar occurrences in the future. He emphasized that the MMEA follows specific SOPs for each operation and regularly reminds its personnel to adhere to them. Following Roshaimi's funeral in Kuala Nerang, Kedah, the investigation would also explore additional areas for enhancement, such as personnel training and operational equipment. Zawawi announced that the inquiry would commence as soon as feasible and might take several weeks to conclude. Furthermore, the agency pledged to provide necessary support to Roshaimi's widow and their two school-aged children.",
