"account": "The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will release an updated list of candidates for the 2027 general elections following a review process, according to INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan (SAN). This announcement was made by Amupitan during an interactive session with journalists in Gombe, ahead of the upcoming elections. The review was conducted to address concerns raised by the commission about spelling errors in candidates' names and instances of double nominations. Amupitan clarified that INEC had granted a maximum of 14 days for the review, after which the updated list would be made public. INEC has previously faced complaints regarding the accuracy of the candidates' information, prompting this initiative to ensure a more precise electoral process. The chairman's statement underscores the commission's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the electoral system as preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.",
