"account": "Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. has been released from the team following his arrest for allegedly doxxing and harassing a police officer. Coach Kalen DeBoer made the announcement on Tuesday. The incident occurred on Friday, just before a game against Texas A&M.\n\nKirkpatrick Jr. had previously been suspended for a game in October 2025, following his arrest for reckless endangerment, attempting to evade police, and speeding. The arrest followed a prior 2025 incident where he was involved in the officer's 2025 arrest for the same offenses.\n\nDuring his suspension, Kirkpatrick Jr. allegedly sent the officer threatening messages, including \"text me back don t be no bitch!\" He also posted a photo of the officer and his family on Facebook. In light of these developments, DeBoer stated, \"He did not live up to the standards and expectations that I have set for this team and our players.\"\n\nKirkpatrick Jr.'s dismissal comes after a second misdemeanor charge from June 2026 for leaving the scene of an accident. Dre Kirkpatrick Sr., the veteran NFL cornerback, was originally drafted by the Bengals in 2012 and played for Cincinnati, Arizona, and San Francisco for a total of 10 seasons. Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., who played as a second-string defensive back, joined Alabama in 2024.",
