"account": "Stan Wawrinka concluded his professional tennis career following a first-round loss at the Basel Open on Tuesday. The 41-year-old Swiss, a three-time Grand Slam champion, announced earlier in the season that his final tournament would be the ATP 500 event in his home country. Wawrinka's defeat by Czech Jiri Lehecka, 7-5, 7-6 (7/2), marked the end of an illustrious 24-year career. The former world number three won multiple Grand Slams, including the Australian Open in 2014, the French Open in 2015, and the US Open in 2016. He also claimed the Davis Cup for Switzerland and won gold in doubles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Despite a strong farewell ceremony in Basel on Monday, where he thanked his supporters, Lehecka secured the win with his powerful serving and Wawrinka's inability to maintain his serve. Wawrinka's farewell event in Geneva, featuring fellow tennis legends Andy Murray and Roger Federer, provides fans with one last opportunity to witness the Swiss tennis legend in action.",
