"account": "Discord is set to make discussions in certain large public servers searchable on the web starting in mid-December. This change targets \"Discoverable Servers,\" a category of Discord servers with 1,000 or more users. To implement this, Discord administrators can make their servers searchable or limit searches to specific channels. Additionally, individual users can opt-out of having their messages searchable in Discoverable Servers. This move addresses the issue of valuable information being hidden away in Discord chat logs, inaccessible to the wider internet. The feature is not applicable to invite-only servers or Direct Messages. Discord's blog post provides more details on what's changing and what remains the same.",
"summary": "Discord is attempting to solve the 'this should've been a forum' problem with specially-designated channels whose messages can show up in search engines.",
