"account": "Two years ago, stories of child rapists disguised as customary rites disturbed Kwesi Yankah's sleep. The term 'Awengaa' became a metaphor for such predators, with young girls running away in fear when they saw them. In 2024, the term took a more alarming form when it involved a teacher, Master Mensah, who was publicly shamed and condemned for his actions. The Awengaa scandal has since become a recurring issue, with teachers being accused of sexually abusing young girls. The Education Ministry launched an inquiry following an attack on students, but the investigation has been ongoing for 16 months. The perpetrator, a party activist, has allegedly defiled 19 girls.",
