"account": "Discord is set to make public server messages searchable on Google starting November 16, 2026. This new feature aims to help users, such as indie game developers, fandoms, and content creators, easily find and share their work. Public servers, which are open to anyone, will receive a Server Web Page that includes summaries of discussions and, starting mid-December, some messages will be publicly accessible. Visitors will not need a Discord account or to join the server to see these messages. However, users can opt out of having their messages displayed on the Server Web Page. Server owners and users can also choose to opt out of having their channels searchable. The company acknowledges that some users value Discord's privacy stance and has provided options for opting out. Private servers, direct messages, and usernames/avatars will remain private.",
