Adesina clarified that he is not seeking a new job and emphasized his commitment to Nigeria. At the Aso Rock Villa, Adesina disclosed that the AfDB provided $11.1 billion in financing to Nigeria since its operations began in 1971, with $7 billion for the period between 2015 and 2025. He also commended President Tinubu's economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and exchange rate window harmonization, which are beginning to yield positive results, such as improved foreign exchange availability and declining inflation.
