"account": "Ines Claus, chairwoman of the Hessian CDU parliamentary group, has expressed interest in succeeding Frank-Walter Steinmeier as German President. Claus, also a deputy CDU federal chairwoman, described it as a \"great honor\" to be considered for the candidacy. However, some CDU politicians have questioned her suitability, citing a lack of national political profile. The CDU is searching for a candidate, with Union faction leader Thorsten Frei suggesting several women, including Julia Klöckner and Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, as potential candidates. A final decision is expected to be made in November, with the presidential election set for January 30, 2027.",
"summary": "The search for a successor to Federal President Steinmeier is gaining momentum. One more name is surprisingly being discussed. The question is, however, how much longer - because doubts are being raised immediately.",
