"account": "Singapore will host a new ASEAN Labour Statistics Office to collaborate on labor market statistics and better track shifts in the regional labor market. The office, part of the ASEAN Labour Statisticians Network, will focus on areas like AI, green jobs, and platform work. The network aims to enhance the ability of ASEAN member states to anticipate labor market impacts and respond effectively. Singapore, preparing for its ASEAN chairmanship in 2027, will serve as the network's convenor until 2030. The ASEAN Green Jobs Report, launched alongside the network, highlights the potential for green jobs in the region, which currently stands at 22.3% of total employment but only 6% realized as actual green employment. The report emphasizes the need for workforce planning to address skills mismatches, transition from fossil fuels, and gender imbalances in the renewable energy sector.",
"summary": "AI-related changes, platform work and green jobs are some key areas the ASEAN Labour Statistics Office will study.",
