"account": "The Kremlin expressed hope on Monday that Serbia's newly elected political leaders would appreciate the advantages of collaboration with Russia, following a student-led protest movement's victory over the long-standing Moscow ally, Aleksandar Vucic, in a nationwide election. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov conveyed this sentiment to reporters. Meanwhile, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the outcome, describing it as \"a new chapter in the history of the country and its people\" on his X post. Vucic had skillfully balanced Serbia's aspirations to join the European Union while maintaining strong ties with Russia, especially since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Last year, Vucic attended Russia's commemoration of the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II. Vucic's resignation comes amid a significant student-led rally in Belgrade, as Serbia prepares for a crucial election.",
