"summary": "Spanish midfielder Alexia Putellas has been named the winner of the 2026 Women’s Ballon d’Or, marking her third triumph in this prestigious award. The ceremony took place in London on Monday, where Putellas surpassed Aitana Bonmatí, who had held the award for the past three years. Putellas, who previously won the award in 2021 and 2022, led Barcelona to victory in four trophies during the 2025/26 season, including the Women’s Champions League, Liga F, the Spanish Super Cup, and the Copa de la Reina. Her exceptional performance on both club and international stages, including Spain's win in the Women’s Nations League, solidified her position as the deserving recipient of this year's award.",
