"account": "Sam Presti announced on Monday that Jalen Williams has suffered a dislocated left ankle and a fractured fibula. The timeline for his return will be determined after surgery, but the injuries are expected to sideline him for most or all of the 2026-27 season. The injury occurred during Oklahoma City's win over the LA Clippers on Sunday, during the final minutes of regulation. Williams attempted a driving layup, but Kris Dunn collided with him mid-air, causing Williams to land badly on his leg. The leg bent backwards, severely dislocating Williams' ankle. The Thunder medical staff covered Williams' leg with towels, and he had to be stretchered off the court. His teammates displayed raw and powerful reactions upon realizing the severity of the injury. This devastating blow significantly impacts the Thunder's title prospects and raises concerns about Williams' long-term future. With 79-plus games ahead, the Thunder must find a way to adapt, but there is no direct replacement for Williams. This catastrophic injury alters both the team's short-term and long-term outlook.",
