"account": "Steve Wilson, a former Apple executive, has been appointed to lead Netflix's podcast division, according to recent reports. The news was first revealed by Bloomberg on Monday and came shortly after Peter Rice assumed the role of chief content officer at Netflix, just over a week ago. Wilson spent nearly 15 years at Apple, joining the Apple Podcasts team shortly after its inception in 2006. Before that, he served as the chief strategy officer for Daylight Media, which was previously known as QCODE, from 2020 to 2026. In a recent LinkedIn post, Wilson expressed his enthusiasm for building and shared his thoughts on the needs of creators, as well as the importance of community and in-person connections at a time when trust on the internet is dwindling. During his tenure at QCODE, the company produced original scripted podcasts such as \"The Prophecy\" featuring Kerry Washington, \"Carrier\" with Cynthia Erivo, and \"Blackout\" starring Rami Malek.",
