"account": "MGM+ is set to launch a new podcast-to-TV horror series based on the popular horror podcast, The Black Tapes. The streaming platform announced the adaptation of the gripping series starring Game Of Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as a psychiatrist, Dr. Richard Strand. The eight-episode TV version, which is scheduled to begin filming in Vancouver in January, will see Coster-Waldau's character investigating the origin behind the mysterious \"Black Tapes\" audio recordings.\n\nThe Black Tapes follows Coster-Waldau's psychiatrist as he attempts to debunk the supernatural phenomena mentioned in the recordings, which cover topics such as hauntings, possessions, disappearances, and sinister legends. The series will also feature \"relentless scientist\" Alex Reagan, who narrates the podcast in the voice of Lori Henry. However, the casting of Reagan's character in the TV adaptation is yet to be confirmed.\n\nAs MGM+ looks to shift its focus to podcast-based programming, The Black Tapes aims to capture the cultural fascination with the unexplained while delivering the classic storytelling that the streamer's audience expects. The show's production team includes producers John Rogers, Kearie Peak, and the talented crew from Kung Fu Money Productions, all working under the guidance of MGM+ head Michael Wright.",
