"account": "Foldra, an open-source portable cloud storage device, has achieved a remarkable milestone in the crowdfunding world. This compact server, measuring just 13cm x 13cm x 3.3cm, is so small it can fit on a keyring. Priced at $89, Foldra offers a range of features that make it a unique addition to the tech market.\n\nThe device stores files locally, sharing them over its own Wi-Fi network. A 480x480-pixel AMOLED touchscreen provides easy navigation, displaying files, settings, storage information, and pre-installed applications. A microSD slot supports storage cards up to 1TB in capacity, expanding the device's potential storage.\n\nFoldra operates on an ESP32-S3R8 processor, accompanied by 8MB of PSRAM and 16MB of flash memory. Its built-in rechargeable battery enables operation without a constant power source. The device creates a private Wi-Fi network, allowing nearby devices to access stored documents through a web browser. Files can be transferred wirelessly or via USB-C, enabling the device to function as a conventional removable storage drive.\n\nThe touchscreen display supports 15 applications, including media playback, productivity tools, security features, and entertainment options. Users can view photos, play audio files, watch videos, maintain notes, manage tasks, and use a built-in focus timer. The device also includes games, activity records, network selection, PIN protection, and movement-triggered locking features.\n\nFoldra's developers encourage customization, providing hardware and software documentation for modifications. The standard edition, priced at $89, comes with a touchscreen, rechargeable battery, and wireless connectivity, while the Maker Edition at $139 offers additional tools for developers. Optional editions include a $179 Signature Edition and a $249 package containing three devices.\n\nThe Kickstarter campaign for Foldra has surpassed its initial $5,000 goal, raising $47,970 from 347 backers. The campaign lists an early bird offer of $89 for the first 50 units, with a $99 standard edition and a $79 founders' offer available during the first 48 hours. Component purchasing is scheduled for December 2026, followed by production, quality checks, and estimated deliveries in March 2027. Despite its small size, Foldra's potential usefulness depends on factors such as storage capacity, battery life, wireless connection stability, and software performance.",
