"summary": "The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has launched a two-day training programme for licensed Hajj and Umrah tour operators, aiming to enhance regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and pilgrim welfare ahead of the 2027 pilgrimage. Organized by the Hajj Institute of Nigeria in collaboration with various Hajj-related associations, the Professional Certificate Programme in Hajj/Umrah Operations and Pilgrim Service Management is set to commence on October 26 and 27, 2026. NAHCON Chairman Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf highlighted that the initiative will prepare Nigerian operators for the evolving global Hajj industry driven by Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 reforms and the emerging business-to-business model. The programme will emphasize professional standards, digital transformation, and effective regulatory oversight, with a phased transition arrangement of 30% private-sector participation in 2027.",
