"summary": "Egypt's House of Representatives voted with a two-thirds majority on Monday to authorize President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to take necessary measures to support Saudi Arabia. According to Al-Monitor, the decision follows a request from President al-Sisi to defend the kingdom from attacks by Yemen's Houthis. The parliament, which includes supporters of al-Sisi, held three rare secret meetings and postponed the vote twice before the authorization.\n\nSeparately, the Saudi-led coalition reported on Monday that three drones were intercepted and destroyed over the Riyadh region and southern regions of Saudi Arabia, according to Middle East Eye.\n\nRegarding regional diplomacy, the Daily Times reports that Saudi Arabia stated talks with Iranian officials in Tehran are intended to prevent escalation and create conditions for an agreement. The Saudi Foreign Ministry described these negotiations as important for opening communication channels, noting that discussions involve Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Türkiye.",
