"account": "Austin Smotherman claimed his second consecutive FedEx Cup Fall victory on Monday at the rain-disrupted Butterfield Bermuda Championship, edging out Ireland's Seamus Power with a par on the third playoff hole. Smotherman, who also won the Bank of Utah Championship three weeks ago, secured his place in next year's U.S. Open at Pebble Beach by securing two tournaments offering full FedEx Cup points. The two golfers were tied at 16-under 197 when play was halted due to strong winds, causing the final round to be canceled. They resumed play on the par-3 16th hole with a strong wind gusting off the ocean, which favored Smotherman who made par while Power missed a birdie putt, opting for an 8-foot par save. The third extra hole was played at the par-3 16th with Smotherman hitting an 8-iron to the front section, leaving himself a birdie chance. Power's subsequent shot found deep rough and he missed the par putt, ultimately allowing Smotherman to claim victory. Power's runner-up finish moves him to No. 68 in the FedEx Cup standings, while Smotherman's win secures his position at the $20 million signature events at Pebble Beach and Riviera next year.",
