"summary": "The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed its willingness to welcome former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen back as a member, but not as the flagbearer for the upcoming general election, according to Joe Wise, the party's Disciplinary Committee Chairman. Wise stated that the NPP has already elected its flagbearer, making it impossible for Kyerematen to assume the position without following the party's established electoral process. Kyerematen had previously declared that he would only consider returning to the NPP if offered the opportunity to lead the party as its flagbearer. Wise described Kyerematen's demand as unacceptable, as the party's elected flagbearer is already in place. However, Wise emphasized that the NPP is open to Kyerematen's return if he follows the proper procedures for rejoining the party, noting that he had previously served the party in various capacities.",
