According to El Pais English, the 80-year-old achieved a comeback by defeating Senator Flávio Bolsonaro with 51.7% of the vote to 48.2%, a margin of four million votes. El Pais English further noted that Lula is the first president in Brazil’s history to win after losing the first round of a presidential election.\n\nThe victory was met with celebrations, including dancing and hugging, as thousands gathered in Rio and São Paulo, according to Euronews. The New York Times identifies Flávio Bolsonaro as the eldest son of the right-wing leader whom Lula defeated four years ago.\n\nFollowing the results, Flavio Bolsonaro is refusing to accept the loss and will seek to annul the election, Punch reports. ABC News AU also stated that his opponent is refusing to accept defeat.",
