"account": "Ghana's basketball team, Spintex Knights, find themselves in an unexpected predicament as they remain trapped in Libya due to a $33,000 outstanding travel bill. The Accra Basketball League champions, who have maintained an impressive unbeaten record throughout the preliminary stage of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers, are unable to return to their homeland until this financial obligation is settled. Despite securing a spot in the Elite 16 after winning all three of their Group B matches, the team now faces the daunting challenge of resolving their debt before moving forward in the competition. The club has reached out for financial assistance to clear the unpaid travel and visa expenses, which have put their preparations for the next phase of the BAL qualifiers at risk. Spintex Knights have been a dominant force in the group stage, with standout performances from James Amotoe, Khyree Temple, and Justin Uwitonze, who collectively propelled the team to new heights. With the BAL qualifiers set to begin in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire from November 10 to 15, 2026, the team's focus now shifts to overcoming their financial hurdles and reclaiming their place in the competition.",
